In September 2024, SORA released the draft documents for the South Siskiyou Sustainable Recreation Plan. You can find those documents here and read about the public engagement process here.

The Nordic Center Improvement Project is underway and includes a variety of elements - from the new groomer to trail building to building the new lodge. Read about what’s happening and how you can be involved in our ongoing fundraising for this project.
The Stewardship Corps brings people together for the benefit of our community and visitors. Keeping trails in good condition, cleaning up public spaces and learning about Leave No Trace principles are at the heart of this project. Our Origins
Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance was created in 2018 by a merger of two nonprofit organizations: Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Organization and Mountain Runners. SORA formed with the aim of gathering the larger community of outdoor recreation nonprofit organizations and initiatives throughout far Northern California into a single alliance.
