The Nordic Center Improvement Project is underway and includes a variety of elements - from the new groomer to trail building to building the new lodge. Read about what’s happening and how you can be involved in our ongoing fundraising for this project.
The Stewardship Corps brings people together for the benefit of our community and visitors. Keeping trails in good condition, cleaning up public spaces and learning about Leave No Trace principles are at the heart of this project. Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance advocates for opportunities for all to access outdoor recreation and creates meaningful and responsible connections to the trails, mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, and landscapes of the Shasta-Siskiyou region of Northern California.

Our Origins
Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance was created in 2018 by a merger of two nonprofit organizations: Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Organization and Mountain Runners. SORA formed with the aim of gathering the larger community of outdoor recreation nonprofit organizations and initiatives throughout far Northern California into a single alliance.
