Nordic Snow Cat Repair Update

Dear Nordic Center Community,  

We had to remove Ms. Kitty’s engine and send it to the manufacturer to be rebuilt. Sorry, she won’t be ready before the end of this season. The good news is that we will have a fully functional groomer for next ski season. The not-so-good news is that it will cost approximately $25,000 to have the engine remanufactured and installed, which will tap our capital repair/replacement fund.

Moving forward, the Mt. Shasta Ski Park will continue to provide backup grooming on the weekends, and we will supplement with the snowmobile groomer mid-week. Many thanks to Richard Coots, Guy Morris, and Danni Jonsson at Mt. Shasta Ski Park for keeping our trails groomed during this time!
