SSC Lake Siskiyou Launch Event & Public Trash Clean Up

Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance’s newest program Siskiyou Stewardship Corps has a new partnership with the Siskiyou County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to provide stewardship services at Lake Siskiyou. This partnership involves caretaking of an important Mt. Shasta gem, including trash clean up, trail maintenance, and public outreach.

Join Siskiyou Stewardship Corps on Sunday, October 23rd from 12:00pm-4:00pm at Lake Siskiyou for the official Launch Event for the SSC and Siskiyou County partnership. This event will kick off with a brief introduction to the SSC program, its staff, and Leave No Trace. Following the presentation, SSC will conduct a community trash clean up around Lake Siskiyou and the Lake Siskiyou Trail. Equipment, including gloves, bags, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Refreshments will be provided as well. 

All ages welcome, with parent signature required for children 17 and under. This is a come-and-go event. SSC invites all individuals to come and participate for as long as they are able.
